Eligibility for Membership

General Member

• Students of MD/FCPS/Diploma in Critical Care Medicine
• MBBS/Equivalent (registered by BMDC) and a Post-Graduation in any subject (BSCCM might ask for a certificate copy of that degree)
• MBBS/Equivalent (registered by BMDC) and at least 1-year of work experience in CCM/ICU (BSCCM might ask for a certificate copy of that training/experience)
• They will not be eligible for vote-casting.

Lifetime Member

• Post-graduate in Critical Care Medicine (MD/FCPS/Diploma/Post Graduation in any subject approved by BMDC). They will be eligible for vote-casting.
• Members of the Executive Committee are eligible and bound to be lifetime members. They are eligible for vote-casting.
• Post-graduation in any subjects other than Critical Care Medicine but direct involvement in ICU activities (Subject to the permission of the EC committee). They will not be eligible for vote-casting.
• Who already got the lifetime membership before the year 2022. They will not be eligible for vote-casting.
• Post-graduate students in Critical Care Medicine (MD/FCPS/Diploma/Post Graduation in any subject approved by BMDC). They will not be eligible for vote-casting.

Honorary Member (In recognition of the contribution)

• The EC committee can provide an unpaid membership if anyone has significant contributions to the development of critical care medicine
• They will not be eligible for vote-casting

Advisor

• Doctors who have significant contributions to the development of critical care medicine and who will help to carry forward the activities of BSCCM, will be selected as advisors
• There will be less than 10 members in the Advisory council
• They may participate in any scientific conference organized by the BSCCM without any registration and will act as a session chair (if required)
• They will regularly receive the journal published by the BSCCM and will act as reviewer in the journal committee
• They may get special honor in the Annual Conference (Subject to the permission of the EC committee)
